Who we are

We are a group of people from Halle/Saale, which is involved in the the struggle for asylum seekers' rights in Sachsen-Anhalt. Some years ago we initiated this group to demonstrate against the deportation camp in Halberstadt and to support refugees in their struggle for a humane Situation.

What we do

We contact refugees to get to know about and to document their precise situation of housing and living. We try to inform the public through press relations and actions about the problems of refugees. We support refugees and refugee initiatives in their political struggle for improvement of their living situation, for a placement in appartements and the right to stay. We stand up against all forced placement in mass accomodation and camps and demand them to be closed. We are against all racism, police brutality and discrimination by state and offices. We cooperate with Refugees Initiative Möhlau, Oury-Jalloh-Initiative and the Caravan for the rights of refugees and migrants (Karawane für die Rechte von Flüchtlingen und MigrantInnen). We want to link refugees with supporters and amongst themselves.

Besides regular visists in different camps we work on press and public relations. We organize campaigns, demonstrations and information events about topics as asylum, migration, EU-borders, colonialism, and deportation.

What we can't do

We are not a helpdesk that can provide professional help in legal issues or about asylum. We know that there are many questions and problems, e.g. connected to the authorities and we also know that there is hardly any possibility to get advice around these issues in Möhlau.
We can't balance this deficiency, but always have an open ear for your problems and sorrows.

We want to support refugees in their struggle for their rights!
